It is a pleasure to see that my friend and colleague Ken Miller's quest for the past was reported by Ad Crable! That provides me with an excuse to come up with another of my stories dealing with the past, mainly my own... Some earlier stories dealt with retrieval of documents ravaged by a fire. I had not even intended to include the 100 scans I made last week of photos recovered from a cigar box; instead, I am going to present a similarly disorganized lot of scans of documents rescued from cardboard boxes which had been improvidentially stored in a horse shed for 10 years and which now had to be tearfully discarded because of insects, mold and other types of erosion ...
