THE HARRISBURG PENEPLAIN


On November 29, 2005, I had the pleasure of flying with Terry Inch (of Dutch Country Helicopters)
from Lancaster to St.Mary's, PA.

Flying over Harrisburg evoked several memories, because it is fascinating to see how the Susquehanna River cut into the parallel ridges of resistant rocks of almost equal heights, known as the "Harrisburg (Pene)Plain".
