For the month of May, I was assigned to Dr. John (zig-zag) Zeigler
and ran up and down stairs to measure the time it took for individual sandgrains of certain sizes to fall all the way to the bottom of a giant settling tube. I also helped a bit with the drilling into the Cape Cod spit at Provincetown, designed, built and tested current drifters, and took sediment samples and U.W. picts. |

I also met the editor of the WHOI newsletter, Jan Hahn, who took me sailing in his boat |
