On the way to Saraburi in the Hillman of Jhr. Frank Boreel of the Dutch Embassy we hit some rain, scared a little kid, and found out that Anthea had forgotten her swimming suit: she became the model for our SSSSS-LOGO (below right)

Saraburi , some 11 kms from Bangkok, is known for its splendid temples, stairways with Nagas and a relic footstep of Buddha

Lopburi , some 153 kms north of Bangkok, was made the second capital by King Narai of Autthya in 1664 with the help of a French architect. It is known for its three towered laterite Phra Prang Sam Yot and the giant Buddha we irreverently referred to as the "Hillman". Nearby San Phra Kan is well-known for its monkeys.
