OCEAN SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING

p.81 Ben Oostdam's Autobiography
Monday, October 19, 1964: Work on line 117 1/2 B went poorly: we were working Sammy Collin's dredge tailings: gravel on top(!) and also bottles and paint. No diamonds (at least he did not miss any haha) but lots of blockages. We picked up anchors since Mr Field wanted to take some more movies of the coast, so Jack got into a bad mood.
For his sake we tried the vibrocore again at 14:00, in some fashion connected to the drill (?)

Willie and I went diving:
waterdepth 90 foot, very poor visibility, cold, he got seasick.

The bottom was rough with boulders and overhangs, somewhat like the gullies ashore.

Eric fells overboard but saved himself rapidly.
