Mercia and Gus

After driving to the other end of Main Street, we turned back and instead of staying in the local hotel, we stopped at the "97 Grey Street B and B", run by a journalist couple. The owner, Tim - here with his wife Sharon from Zimbabwe - made reservations for dinner at the nearby home of Kobie, a charming art teacher. After her excellent dinner we went straight to our rooms and beds, enjoying the quarterly belfry throughout the night. The next morning, Feb.12, we were served a copious breakfast by Eunice, the cook. Next, the manager, Ben - a former Klipbok player - walked us to the local museum where we were cordially received by Junetta Strijdom (in orange) and Andre Coetzee. They told us that they still kept in touch with the Dordrechtse Synode in Holland. Instead of going to Middelburg, we decided to visit Mercia's family in Bloemfontein, so we ended up driving "Friendly N 6", with stops in Jamestown and Aliwal North(no, Harry, not Analsworth).
Following some minor search problems in Bloemfontein it was about 5 p.m. when Mercia could embrace her brother Gus exactly 10 years after her previous visit! More later.
