Monday December 8, 2008: While chewing cherries and plums I turned Eastward onto route R 711 at Fouriesburg witnessing some astounding T-rock formation.
Later, some 20 kms before Clarens, the skies became threatening - which showed up even better back home with access to such tricks
as solarizing,
semi-sepia rendition
and pop-art ! At 1745, I entered the quaint Alpine artist town of Clarens and checked into Rosewood Corner B and B, where Shirley recommended the Highlander Hotel for dinner. I walked there and had an excellent duck and black cherrie pie on the porch, accompanied by a loud party, a rainstorm hammering the zinc roof and some drinks. Fortunately, by the time I finished at 20:00, I managed to navigate back to the B and B and arrive there dry and satiated. By that time, it seemed, the entire artist town had found indoor activities, mainly culinary and imbiberical...It certainly looked worthy of future exciting daylight exploration!
