| Woke up at 04:00 and started packing, accounting, planning, going to the toilet several times and showering. At 08:00 I went in for the breakfast buffet, with ten other guests. It was pretty good and improved my mood. Afterward, I talked with Timea and asked her to make reservations for me at Etap in Torokbalint - one consideration being that I still had the return ticket from there to airport. I also bargained the price down to compensate for the discomfort of having to move - and of course, it was after all of these "commitments" and another morning of walking around that Timea told me that the manager would have a room for me tonight ...(too late, sorry) |
 I went underground and bought 6 bus/tram tickets for 160 forints each. Next, I picked up my two packs and walked across the square at groundlevel to get to tram #7. We crossed the Danube, and ... |
 . . . I got off across from this pleasant park and transferred to bus 172. It still took quite a while to get to Torokbalint, and to walk from the bus-stop to the ETAP hotel. |

It was a pleasure to see the jovial manager again and my room - at half the price I paid in Budapest ipse.
Also to meet Maria- who made arrangements for me for a ticket that evening at the Opera and to be picked up on May 26 by the minibus - the ticket for which I found after a mere hour's search...
