THE CITADEL, SHKODRA

After Valdeta and her husband took me back to the hotel, we said our sad goodbyes, and I took a brief break. Then I went back to the Citadel, but his time with a taxi driver I engaged for 10 Euros. He drove up the hill and parked near the gate. We went on foot along the fortifications erected on top of the table mountain, which commanded a splendid view of the town, rivers and Lake Shkodra (below).
