June 6 : My indicator read 1,011km when I left lovely Antrim for Dublin at 09:18 after the usual excellent breakfast. Soon I climbed out of Newry and ULSTER on Route A1 to Dundalk, where I changed my remaining £17 to a bit over $ 20. At 11:08 I took a road towards the Irish Sea, saw Ballymascanlon with the "Best Western Hotel" and "Host to Thailand" sign, and continued to lacey Carrickmacross where I stopped and walked around for an hour taking photographs:
