My first stop at about 11 a.m. on Sat May 29 was at the Castle of Blarney (top). After a short but heavy rainstorm, the stairs were packed with tourists all eager to lie back and kiss the stone (above) so they will get the gift of gab or rap. I followed this couple (right) from Arizona with baby.

BLO fecit 20040705 		I enjoyed my rapid and surreptitious views of crowded Cork and decided to return there in future. For now, I just tanked up and cashed a lot of Euro's (left) then hit N71 to Clonakilty and Skibbereen (right).
I saw many election posters and found out that
  • Ireland presently
    presides over the EU
  • 67% of the Irish are
    opposed to President
    Bush's June 26 visit.
