EUROPEAN SHIPYARDS TOURThe next morning (April 17), I drove to Leer southeast of Emden on the river Ems. which now (2005) ranks second to Hamburg in port activities. Here I met Man.Dir. M Jansen of 50 yr old Jansen Shipyard, with a 500 p. staff. During the last decade, all of their vessels were built for export, including ten research vessels |
