1965 SOUTH AFRICA TOUR : Ben Oostdam, October 2, page 4

Early in the morning it rained and I spent an hour at the spectacular Augrabies Falls, a deep gorge of cut by the Orange River in banded gneiss and granite and seemingly out of place in the otherwise rather flat immediate surroundings. Possibly because of the early hour and the rain, I missed out on the Cape Flat lizard.
