Sunday, August 11, 1963, (cont.): We did not spend too much time in Liechtenstein, watching the castle from a distance, and feeling sorry for not having any money to buy the many alluring tax-free items, especially cameras and watches, in the local shops. I did buy a few stamps. |

We crossed the River Rhine (sounds belligerent, recall WWII !) and drove through the mountains and past picturesque mountain lakes dotted with sailboats on to Zurich, where we arrived at 16:30, looked over the scenery and campsites and decided to cross one more border on into quiet France where we pitched our tent just before dark in a cornfield.
