Ben Oostdam's Autobiography:

SUMMER 1963 TOUR, p.2

Monday, July 1: On our first full day in Holland, my Dad, Principal of the Wilhelmina School in Amstelveen, took a vacation day to treat us to a car-tour to the other side of the IJ, i.e. north of Amsterdam ("l'eau dela de l'Y") starting at Durgerdam and Ransdorp, well-known for its tower - a landmark for our many father-and-son bike tours in the 1940's :

Durgerdam's
medal of honor 2001 winner:
Wil Sartorius
"Van keel,

de
eendrachts-
pijlen
van goud
"

It was fun to find on the WWW that one can now make bicycle tours to four churches
with 20 minute musical surprises on the hour! (13:00-16:00)
